I didn't mean to do it

I must have some sort of disease or something. Didn't I just buy new running shoes a couple of weeks ago? Aren't they still sitting in the trunk of my car waiting to be broken in? Aren't I not running the mileage I was in the summer time? Then why oh why did I do this to myself? This would mean rotating 5 pairs of running shoes!

I took B to the running store to get fitted for shoes that are way better suited for him. I thought it was cool that he's in the same shoes as I am. I thought it was even cooler that they still had old stock of the 2130's for him so they were at least 30 dollars cheaper. It was stupid that I even asked to try on these new 2140's knowing damn well I didn't need them. Once they were on, I told them he would have to pry them off of my feet. Then I realized it was raining outside, so I carefully took them off, and put them in his hands to ring up. I grabbed 4 pairs of socks, 2 for me and 2 for B, and put them with the shoes. $208 dollars later (not bad for 4 pairs of $8.50 socks) and we were on the way to Verizon. On the way there I said "Now you can run with me after work". His response was "I don't have anything to run in clothing wise". That was music to my ears since that's my other favorite thing to shop for! I said I would take care of him and he'll be out running me in no time!

It's going to be 73, sunny and dry today. I didn't know whether to break in these new new shoes, or the 2 week old new shoes. (Get it?!). B told me to use the new ones after he caught me sitting on the floor smelling the new shoe smell from them. I even used the phrase "sexy shoes!". I really wonder if he thinks I'm a little bit strange. I'm just so happy to have this excitement back in my life about running. I'll be putting them to use as I run by the line of voters this afternoon. I'll even smile for the cameras since I'm not wearing my butt huggers either. 2 days of beautiful weather.. What else is there to do but run?

It's a healthy disease. I feel your amazing pain (in the wallet). What a great feeling. Glad you have it back.

ROFL! You and your running shoes. It totally makes me laugh. What a dilemma- which new shoes should I run in? Ha ha.

Enjoy your good weather. It was in the 70's here last week, but this week is all about cold and wet (in fact, it's supposed to snow tonight and tomorrow). Boo hoo.

Haha! Shoe addiction, especially running shoes, is perfectly normal and acceptable! Love it!

You aRE too hilarious. Girl I seriously think you have a shoe fetish. Do you keep them on a satan pillow in your bed with you too? =) I am sure your B finds it quirkily endearing. We all have our quirks!
